I’m reading a press release about a debt collection agency being named as a good place to work, and am struck by this sentence:
[h]appy employees treat our customers better, and are more effective in recovering their delinquent accounts.
When a debt collector calls you, does their happiness make you somehow better able to take food off your own table in order to pay a past due debt?
Or are they simply happier debt collectors when they squeeze every last dime out of your pocket?
You decide.
