If I file for chapter 7 and my car loan is discharged through the bankruptcy, do I have the right to sell the car after the discharge considering the discharge occurs before the creditor can perfect the lein against the car to protect their interest.

Positive Negative

If you have a car loan and file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy and discharge your personal liability to the lender, that does not wipe out the lien and security interest. If you sell the car, the lien still must be paid off in full or you won't be able to convey clear title to the car.
